KAREN BLIXEN MUSEUM
This museum is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nairobi. Delve into the history of Karen Blixen, a Danish author who settled in a beautiful farmhouse with her Swedish husband Count Bror von Blixen in the 1930s. Karen later abandoned this farmhouse due to personal tragedies that befell her. Her experiences and her love affair with Denys Finch Hatton inspired her memoir "Out of Africa", published in 1937. Her old farmhouse now stands as a museum in her honor and is listed under The National Museums of Kenya. The farmhouse gained international fame with the release of the movie of the same title, as many scenes from the Oscar-winning film were shot at the museum.
