Detailed Itinerary
1Day 1: Nairobi → Aberdares
- •Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the central highlands, enjoying views of tea and coffee plantations.
- •Arrive at the Aberdare base hotel in time for lunch.
- •After lunch, transfer to The Ark, a unique tree lodge overlooking a waterhole and saltlick.
- •Spend the afternoon and evening watching wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, and birds as they come to drink.
- •Dinner and overnight at The Ark.
2Day 2: Aberdares → Lake Nakuru
- •After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park.
- •Arrive around midday, check in, and enjoy lunch.
- •Later, proceed for an afternoon game drive around the lake, famous for its flamingos and a haven for both black and white rhinos.
- •Other wildlife includes Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards, and waterbucks.
3Day 3: Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara
- •Enjoy an early breakfast before driving to the Maasai Mara, passing through the scenic Great Rift Valley.
- •Arrive at your camp or lodge in time for lunch.
- •In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Mara, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest.
- •As dusk falls, return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
4Day 4: Full Day in Maasai Mara
- •After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game viewing with morning and afternoon drives, or choose a single full-day game drive with a packed lunch.
- •This day offers excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five and—during the migration season—to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration and dramatic river crossings.
- •Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
- •Optional activities such as a Maasai cultural visit or a sunrise hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an additional cost.
5Day 5: Maasai Mara → Nairobi
- •After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, travelling through the scenic landscapes of the Rift Valley.
- •Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari adventure filled with remarkable experiences and lasting memories.
